Streamline benefits administration across state lines

Struggling with the complexity of employee benefits for your distributed team?
Given that much of the U.S. workforce is fully remote, today’s employees are more spread out than ever. A company can have employees working across the country, which makes finding employee benefits options that work for everyone particularly challenging.
Luckily, our benefits administration platform allows organizations of all sizes to offer benefits your employees will value, no matter where they live.
With PeopleKeep, you can:
✓ Save time on managing your benefits with our easy-to-use benefits administration platform

Why personalized benefits are the best option for multi-state teams
Building and managing a benefits package that will attract and retain a geographically distributed team can be frustrating for employers or HR professionals. In addition to ensuring compliance with various state and local laws, you need to find benefits that will work for each employee.
Many traditional benefits fail to meet the needs of a multi-state workforce. Health plans may only include in-network healthcare providers, and other benefits may be too heavily focused on one geographic location.
With personalized benefits built with PeopleKeep, you can better accommodate the unique needs of your distributed workforce. We’re the leader in cloud-based personalized benefits administration and can help you build a better benefits package for your employees, no matter which state they live in.

How does PeopleKeep work for multi-state companies?
If you’re looking for benefits that better accommodate your team and are easier to manage, we can help. With our benefits administration platform, you can build a package that includes personalized health and lifestyle benefits to your team.
Benefits options for multi-state employers
Our software allows you to administer two categories of flexible, cost-controlled benefits for your organization: health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and employee stipends.
A powerful alternative to group health insurance made specifically for small employers.
A health benefit that enables employers to cover the individual insurance plans their employees choose.
A health benefit that employers can use to help employees with their out-of-pocket expenses.
Stipends for lifestyle benefits like wellness, professional development, and more.
Health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) for multi-state employers
An HRA is an IRS-approved, employer-funded health benefit that allows you to reimburse your employees tax-free for qualifying medical expenses such as individual health insurance premiums and other out-of-pocket expenses. You simply set a monthly allowance for your employees to use and approve their eligible expenses for reimbursement.
Depending on your business size, you can offer one of two types of HRAs that allow you to reimburse your employees for their own health insurance policies: the qualified small employer HRA (QSEHRA) and the individual coverage HRA (ICHRA).
The QSEHRA is specifically designed for organizations with fewer than 50 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs), while an ICHRA is available for organizations of all sizes. An ICHRA provides employers greater flexibility by allowing them to offer different allowance amounts to different classes of employees.
Complete cost control
Set a budget that works for your team and avoid any unexpected rate hikes
Personalization and flexibility
Employees can choose the healthcare providers and services that are available in their geographic area
Reimbursements are tax-free for employers and employees who have minimum essential coverage (MEC)
Start offering an HRA to your employees in three easy steps:
Step 1: Design your benefit & invite employeesCustomize your benefit so it’s uniquely suited to your needs and your employees' needs. You can decide how much you want to offer to employees each month, which expenses are eligible for reimbursement, and more.
Step 2: Employees make eligible medical purchasesOnce your benefit is set up, your employees can use their allowances. Eligible expenses can include anything listed under IRS Publication 502. Employees then submit proof of incurred expenses through our software.
Step 3: Review and approve expensesOnce employees submit their eligible expenses and documentation, the PeopleKeep documentation review team experts will review your employees’ submissions for you. Once approved, you can reimburse them through payroll, check, cash, or bank transfer.
Employee stipends that work for your entire team
If you’re looking to offer a robust benefits package beyond just health benefits, employee stipends can help. Stipends, also known as perks or fringe benefits, are a sum of money you provide to your employees to help them pay for various lifestyle benefits. You can use these fully customizable perks to establish wellness programs, professional development programs, and more. You can also use them to provide one-time spot bonuses or to support your remote workers with their expenses.
With PeopleKeep’s WorkPerks employee stipend administration platform, you can create a truly individualized employee experience. As an accountable plan, WorkPerks helps you keep track of your stipend expenses and reimbursements to support your plan design needs.
