A record low percentage of employers (44.6%) offered employee health benefits in 2011.

no health benefits According to a recent article by Benefitspro, the number of employers offering employee health benefits has been on the decline since 2008 when approximately 50% of employers offered employee health benefits.

Reported factors contributing to the decline include increased unemployment, cost and availability.

When will we see these numbers begin to rise?
